Heavy rain and wind in Haiti swept away dozens of tents in a camp outside the capital Port-au-Prince which houses thousands of homeless Haitians. Angry residents were forced to seek shelter elsewhere. The humber of people in relief tent camps has nearly doubled to 1.6 million, instead of shrinking. This comes as former US President Bill Clinton visited Haiti to mark the six month anniversary of January's earthquake which killed as many as 300000 people and left over a million homeless.

@MaryJoneu I agree with the spirit of your comment, but a good portion of the content is erroneous. Withe folks, as you put it, did not donate 5.2 billions dollars. The international community, meaning people of all races, promised $5.2billions, but less than 10% of it has been delivered thus far. As to the other points you made, you are absolutely right.
@popimpslab so why are we not firguring out the TRUE reason why the money is not being used to help Haiti. Why are we allowing this to continue on? I can write and argue all day, but this is not going to help that there are only 9 million people in the entire country and 5.2 billion raised. this means white folk donated money to help. Black people don’t hold white people accountable, but it should be very clear that race still plays a major part in social mobility and capitalism, the same device that justified the initial slave trade will continue to make the plight of many blacks irrelevant. @dannykay619 i will never be proud of my skin color, race, or culture it is an amalgamation of bullshit blown out of proportion. it’s hard to empathize with certain facets, i will be looked upon as the descendant of slaves for hundreds of years to come and even if i ignore it, there will always be that preoccupation with that past, similarly for whites who might be humble persons, but still have that air of superiority. it would be one thing if racism ended with slavery..
